There is always space for a slice more!
I love pizza. Who doesn’t? If you are in India, PizzaHut and Dominos are two major brands which deliver pizza to home. Often, it tastes more like a topped-up bread. I always wished if they understand how bad their pizza bread is.
I made tens of iterations to make the best possible pizza at home, ever. Following are some simple steps to make veg pizza at home.
Step-1 : Making the perfect dough
Make dough atleast a day before making the pizza. If you plan a pizza on saturday night, make the dough on Friday and refigerate it. Yeast needs to grow and it would need time. You may use rapid growth yeast, but still would need 10 hours of time for a great dough.
Take 3 teaspoons of yeast and add it to Lukewarm water. Hot water will kill the yeast. In case of doubt, always keep the temperature of water just above room temperature. In addition, add either 1 spoon honey or 1 spoon of sugar. Yeast grows by eating honey/sugar. Let it rest for 10 mins to see a raise in froth. It should look as shown below:

Now add that to 300-400g all purpose flour/maida. Add very little salt for taste. Keep kneading. Mix the batter with consistency towards little watery side. The flour should stick a lot on your fingers while you knead. After 3-4 minutes, rub very little olive oil on fingers and again start kneading. Repeat this process untill the dough becomes non-sticky but stretchy. Do not add too much of olive oil as it might turn the pizza base to a harder side (papad type).
Cover it with wet muslin cloth (not touching to the dough) or with a transparent packing cover. After 4 hours, the dough should raise 2 times more and contract when pushed, as shown below.
